A Girl from San Diego...
Jenny grew up in San Diego with extremely hard working parents trying to provide for her and her four siblings. Much of her childhood was spent in their family Chinese restaurant. And while it was a huge source of obligation and frustration growing up, in retrospect, it was such a precious time for her entire family to be together in one place, in each others company. After the restaurant came to a close, Jenny set out in a very circuitous path to figure out her life. She was quite lucky in meeting some amazing people all over the world, including Taiwan, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, Lebanon, and even locally in Maryland and Vermont - all of whom have influenced her career in healthcare. She is happy to be back in California, enjoying the sun and outdoors and even more excited that she has now found someone to drag along on new adventures. Jenny couldn't be happier to have friends from all phases of her life thus far in one place to celebrate this special day!
Meets a Boy from Los Angeles
Brice grew up in a motel in Los Angeles, honestly thinking until the 3rd grade that everyone else he went to school with also lived in their own motels elsewhere in the city. A life long engineer at heart, Brice optimized his first schedule in elementary school when he realized that the best time to buy milk and cookies was during the middle of recess (instead of at the very beginning as every other kid did) and hasn't looked back since.
An avid cyclist, Brice started long distance cycling with the Tour of Napa Valley in 2011, and since completed 6 additional century rides, including Seattle to Portland (STP), a 203 mile ride in his spare time.
Brice is extremely happy to be able to welcome everyone who has played an important role in our lives and is looking forward to seeing you all on our special day
Over Ice Cream...
Jenny for the longest time tended to focus on her career rather than personal life. While she didn't resist meeting someone, she wasn't actively trying either. In fact, she was set up by various friends on a number of dates, but nothing panned out. Numerous people would often suggest, with the best of intentions, their own best strategies to solve Jenny's singledom. With the aim of getting everyone off her back, and really, so she could say she tried everything, she signed up for online dating - eHarmony.
Enter Brice, who reached out to Jenny first, and ended up waiting weeks before Jenny contacted him back. (Little did Brice know how frugal Jenny was and that she was waiting for eHarmony to have a special promotion before she purchased membership to access messages sent to her.)
A couple of weeks later, when Jenny happened to have a lighter work schedule (and when eHarmony's sale finally arrived), she responded to Brice's messages. After, numerous emails were exchanged, most with humor that only the two of them would find entertaining, and with Brice's promises of amazing ice cream, they finally decided to meet in person.
And that's how it all started.
